Up to date once again. Hillhead. Empty. Sunset. Ish. Cloudy and dull most of the day.

FortyFive.

Travelled through cloud and rain. Forth Bridge, outside Edinburgh through a rain covered window.

FortyFour.

Had some trouble updating due to packing and re-configuring wireless. Durham Castle. Met up with two very good friends the day before I came back to Aberdeen. It was a lovely day. I had a lot of fun.

I didn't sleep last night. I couldn't. I lay awake with my music on shuffle reading The Handmaid's Tale. I almost finished but then I noticed the time and the sky lightening so I walked out into the middle of nowhere and sat, listening to the birds welcome the day and I watched the sun rise. Nothing impressive but I was there.

FortyTwo.

And it was all going so well. Sorry. The Paper Shop. Does exactly what it says on the sign. I'm very glad this place is still open and doing business. It's about 2 minutes walk from my house.

I like to make bracelets and I like people to know who I am. I am Bambi. As my wrist will confirm. I like rainbows. The wooden beads on the rainbow bracelet were found on the floor near my house in Durham. They were on a strand that was much too long for them and seemed very odd. They stayed there for two or three days so I figured no one else wanted them so I brought them home and loved them.

It wouldn't be right if one day I didn't put up a photograph of Durham Cathedral so here you go. Spent the afternoon in Durham city with a very good friend of mine. Took photos, laughed a lot. Have missed her and days like this...

A photograph of the statue in Durham Market Place with the spire of St. Nicolas in the background. Me and my dear old pops went to celebrate my 18th today (only a year and a half late) with a pint of real ale in The Shakespeare. We then moved on to The Swan and Three Cygnets before going to the Dun Cow. Three very nice pints: Nimmo's XXXX, Samuel's Lager and Castle Eden. A thoroughly enjoyable time but I am still rather tipsy as we started drinking at 12midday and didn't finish until about 3:30pm!

The view from my brother's old room out over the front garden. I was going to do something with my new glasses (one pair has leopard print arms and one pair that is identical to my old pair therefore I have two identical pairs and some vicious leopard ones =B) but I didn't manage it and this distracted me. The daffs at the front look so bright and fantastic.

This is a living legend of Durham in my eyes. "Nick" is written in red tape on his drum so I assume it's his name. A wonderful one-man band who stood and entertained people for hours today. I kept walking past and had to snap a pic of him. He's fantastic! Hehe. It has taken most of the day to get a decent internet connection to post this. =(

30 March 2009

ThirtySix.

The view at sunset from my bedroom window. Internet troubles today. Sorry if no post tomorrow. As always, will catch up.

29 March 2009

ThirtyFive.

Rubbish internet connection here so I apologise if at some point between now and the 8th-9th (depending on how soon I can remember to make it work in Aberdeen again) there are missed updates. Went to Seaham beach today with my aunt and her two dogs Molly and Elsie. Elsie is loud and yappy. Molly is lovely and playful. But had fun. Gloriously sunny day - no need to wrap up like I did but better safe (warm) than sorry (freezing) and knowing the North Sea, it can only be one of the two, not a happy medium.

Forth road bridge. From the train window on the way from Aberdeen to Durham for Easter.

ThirtyThree.

I packed up to leave Aberdeen for Easter yesterdy. In the wood-grain bag is my laptop hence no update so double update now.

26 March 2009

ThirtyTwo.

The sky looked nice today. Especially through the trees. I'm sorry about yesterday. It got lost in a flurry of PS3 games and fun times.

ThirtyOne.

Yes, I know, I fail.

Sorry, taking photographs while moving never seems to -quite- work... Union Street, Aberdeen. Me and Puck went to the Art Gallery today and spent about 2 hours in there. It's HUGE. But it was really quite interesting. They have a little bit of everything in there. He then went and replaced his phone as he broke it by drunkenly falling over, hence Union Street. Idiot.

TwentyNine.

Yes, I know, I'm not doing very well with updating this DAILY and keep needing to have double updates to catch up but I refuse to give up yet. I will keep trying and trying and updating.
Spring has sprug. Daffodils in Seaton Park on the way to university yesterday.

22 March 2009

TwentyEight.

A small collection of things made for me by Puck. A yellow rose - yellow is my favourite colour. A turtle made from a Tuborg bottle cap - he made 10 of these on St. Patrick's Day in the pub. A box filled with love - I made the box, he filled it; it's overflowing to be honest... And a card: "My dearest Bambi, my love, playful and tender, passionate and loving". None of these for any real reason other than he wanted to. Just like I've made things for him. And why not?

21 March 2009

TwentySeven.

Nothing interesting today, just a generic shot of the train station.

TwentySix.

Yes, I know, another missed update. My friend Stephi came up for the law open day so I was distracted and away from my laptop, however, the day was gloriously sunny and we ended up at The Watering Hole and then Bassment. Stephi had my room and I spent the night with Puck. Fun all round. Anyway, King's College, bright sunlight = bad photo. Sorry.

19 March 2009

I like getting box 78 as my sample box. Rocks. In thin section. For my geology course. Some of the best graffiti I have ever seen though. "Geology is dull, really f**k**g dull." and in response, "Then make it exciting or f*** off." Everytime I get this box though, I always want to add my own line saying, "Geology f***ing rocks" although for the most part that is not how I feel. Sometimes it surprises you though. YAY ROCKS.

18 March 2009

TwentyFour.

This is the first photograph uploaded from my camera. It doesn't like taking photographs oddly enough. Me and Puck went to the beach. My ankles bled. A lot. But it was really worth it. A sandcastle was constructed much to my amusement and I passed the time by digging a hole and collecting rocks and the like - there is now a pile of shells on my desk. Anyway. Random view. BEACH! =D

17 March 2009

Today was such a lovely day. Warm and sunny. My boyfriend and I spent an hour sat by the River Don as it makes its way through Seaton Park. It was so gorgeous and lovely to spend that time together. I often see these swans on the river and thought that it would make a nice photograph for today.

16 March 2009

TwentyTwo.

I rather like the blurry dots of sunshine around the bench so deal with it. I am now all caught up on updates and hope that shall not happen again. Better springtime photos coming at a later date.

TwentyOne.

This is for the missed update Saturday/Sunday this week. My teeth bleed. Daily. In two weeks I have a dental appointment so I hope he will sort it. Out of morbid fascination I did this. I'm sorry if you can't stomach it. I like the taste of blood but with toothpaste it's a little strange and sometimes I must rid myself of the excess blood by spitting rather than swallowing. Lovely.

15 March 2009

Twenty.

I'm sorry. Two updates today. Promise. Rainbowy laptop. Makes me smile.

13 March 2009

Nineteen.

This is Moon. He's a giraffe. He happily resides on my bed here in Aberdeen. He's very special and means a lot to me. As you can tell, I once have been unable to leave my room. My illness is better pretty much but now I have other pains and I have about 5 days of lost sleep to catch up on.

12 March 2009

Eighteen.

I'm still sorry. Anyway, luckily the person I posted this to doesn't look at this blog. Or at least, I hope they don't. *shrugs* Doesn't matter either way really.

Seventeen.

I'm even sorrier today. You will get another photograph posted today, I just couldn't manage it earlier. My fever is better but I still feel incapable of doing anything other than lying down and occasionally sitting up when I feel sick.
This is my pile of plastic bags from various online shopping orders. I keep joking about waiting until I have enough and then building a life size Bambiraptor out of them, however, I believe I already have enough as they're only about 3ft tall. I may actually do it at some point, you never know...
Anyway, yes, two photos today. Now back to lying down and feeling sorry for myself.

10 March 2009

Sixteen.

Taken yesterday, I'm sorry, I have a fever but couldn't not update this but I haven't managed to get outside, I've barely been able to get out of bed. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

9 March 2009

Fifteen.

I just like this. The bright outside world against my tiny prison. It needn't be a prison but sometimes it can't be anything else.

8 March 2009

Fourteen.

This will mean nothing to anyone. I just don't want to forget today. Don't want to forget the feelings...

7 March 2009

Spitfire. Good beer. Proper beer. Now leave me alone - I am Not Happy.

6 March 2009

Aberdeen Art Gallery. This is wonderful place. I can't believe it's taken me so long to go in and when I did it was for a geography project. But it's wonderful. I love it and intend to go back for a proper look round shortly before the Robert Burns exhibition ends. Such a lovely day. Bright clear skies but brisk in the shadows. I like this weather. I only wish I could've gone to the beach instead of walking round Aberdeen City ALL day. It's an awful lot of walking. Especially considering I walked there (it takes about an hour from my halls. Fun ¬¬) but exercise is good for you and I really enjoyed myself.

5 March 2009

Eleven.

Here is your photograph. I have nothing to say.

4 March 2009

Ten.

I was awake all night so I slept all morning. I have many pads of post-it notes. This one has layers of greens and white. I doodled some hearts on it this morning before tearing off the sheet and making a small paper box out of it. I then did the same but in purple so I now have two small origami boxes on my bed. I have no idea what to do with them...

3 March 2009

Nine.

Me and Ed took a shortcut through the Botanical Gardens on our way to Ecology lectures. Someday soon I will explore it properly, the little pathways look so fun and interesting. I should not be let off the leash in there though, I will vanish into the undergrowth and not return.
Got the practical done nice and quickly and came back that way too. I can't wait for the seasons to change. It should be interesting viewing.

2 March 2009

My Valentine's rose is looking slightly worse for wear...

1 March 2009

Once again haven't managed to get outside. I will tomorrow. Honest. Notice board. Send me something and it will no doubt end up there.

28 February 2009

The chaos I inhabit. (Sorry for another indoor photo. Haven't been outside in the past two days.)

27 February 2009

Five.

Only the places and faces have been changed.

26 February 2009

St. Machar's Cathedral from Seaton Park. The clearest shot I took today. Sorry it's a bit late, didn't remember about this until about 30 minutes ago even though I'd taken photographs. If I ever miss a day I will post a photograph from that day at the next available time. I may, for instance, have no internet connection (as nearly happened tonight) but never fear. Updates will be near. <3

25 February 2009

Three.

I'm amazed by my brother at times. He heard I was missing Pocky and had some sent to me from Thailand. Yay Pocky. I have eaten 2 boxes out of the 6 but I refuse to dispose of the boxes or the parcel yet. I just felt like sharing this with you today.

24 February 2009

Two.

Technically taken about 25 minutes into yesterday but I haven't managed to get out of bed today and thought this was wonderfully colourful.
My flatmates birthday so there were lots of long colourful straws. Katie was fiddling and made this so I snapped a shot before we departed company.

23 February 2009

One.

Pretty hectic day today so all you get is a very simple bunch of snowdrops from the park. Out of the photographs I took this was the best quality and... Well, yes. But it is already working, I am already taking more photographs than I have been doing.
